Rann of Kutch festival also called as Kutch Festival or Just Rann Utsav, A Three month Long Celebration held at the edge of White Rann. ... Every year during winter for three month as a part of Gujarat Tourism and Kutch Tourism a Govt. of Gujarat decided to set up a Tent City Near white Rann.

Rann Utsav is one of the most eagerly-awaited tourism events of India, which celebrates the marvels of nature at the White Desert and the rich cultural and artistic heritage of Kutch. The concept of Rann Utsav was envisioned by Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the then Chief Minister of Gujarat.

The Rann of Kachchh is famous for its white salty desert sand and is reputed to be the largest salt desert in the world. 'Rann' means desert in Hindi which in turn is derived from the Sanskrit word 'Irina' which also means desert.

The best time to visit Kutch is during its pleasant winter season. The winter begins in October and ends in February. While temperatures can fall as low as 2 degree Celsius, the weather is usually extremely pleasing and moderate, ranging between 12 and 25 degree Celsius.

it is completely safe.. Go without any 2nd thoughts. If You haveNo money problem;then best is book with the Rann Utsav (Festival going to start from Nov 1);it is expensive.

One travels through the desert to see the 'Great White Rann'- a truly magical site to see the white salt desert. In Gujarat, the highways are good but very poor amenities along the way. Perhaps, the state could do with some inspiration in its tourism deptt.

When Does The Rann Utsav Start? Organized by the Tourism Department of Gujarat, Rann Mahotsav is a grand winter rendezvous. It takes place when the air is crisp and the moon is at its fullest. The Kutch Rann Utsav 2020-21 dates are from Nov 1st, 2020 to Feb 28th, 2021.
